What to Expect When We Attend Meetings and Provide Support

At Keeping the P.E.A.C.E., we understand how important school meetings are, and we’re here to support you through them. Here’s how we help when attending meetings with you:

1. Pre-Meeting Preparation Before the meeting, we’ll take time to review any relevant documents and discuss your concerns, goals, and questions. Whether it’s an IEP meeting, parent-teacher conference, or disciplinary hearing, we want to make sure you feel prepared and confident.
2. Support During the Meeting During the meeting, we’ll be there to help you stay focused on the key issues and ensure your voice is heard. We can offer guidance, clarify terms, and help you navigate any complicated conversations or processes. We’ll also make sure the school is fulfilling its responsibilities and that your child’s needs are being addressed.
3. Clarifying Next Steps After the meeting, we’ll help you understand the outcomes and any decisions that were made. We’ll explain any next steps, timelines, or actions the school is taking, and what you need to do moving forward.
4. Ongoing Guidance We’ll continue to support you after the meeting, whether it’s helping you follow up with the school, reviewing changes in your child’s plan, or adjusting strategies based on the meeting’s results. We’re with you throughout the process to ensure your child gets the support they need.
