What to Expect during the Consultation/Intake Process

At Keeping the People Engaged Actively in Contributing to Education (Keeping the P.E.A.C.E.), we’re committed to making sure you feel supported every step of the way. Here’s what you can expect during the intake process:

1. Initial Contact When you first reach out, we’ll schedule a time to chat. During this initial conversation, we’ll get an overview of your concerns and what kind of support you’re seeking for your child.
2. Information Gathering Next, we’ll gather important details about your child’s educational history, including school records, assessments, and any documentation that might help us understand the situation better.
3. Needs Assessment After reviewing the information, we’ll discuss the specific areas of concern—whether it’s academic progress, behavioral challenges, or navigating the special education system. We’ll break things down so everything is easy to understand.
4. Strategy Session Together, we’ll create a tailored plan that addresses your child’s unique needs. This could include attending school meetings with you, offering coaching, or connecting you with additional resources.
5. Ongoing Support Our relationship doesn’t end with the intake process! We’ll stay in touch to provide guidance, monitor progress, and adjust the plan as needed to ensure your child is on track for success.
